Self-isolation payment
This is a Test and Trace Support payment of £500.
Aimed at the employed/self-employed, on low income, who are obliged to self-isolate.
The individual must be unable to work from home and will lose income as a result.
Apply to the local authority by application form but please note, those told to self-isolate via NHS app are not currently able to claim this payment as they don’t receive the required unique identification code. This is something the government has been made aware of but which remains unresolved.
Eligibility
To qualify you must:
- have been told to self-isolate by NHS Test and Trace by phone, text, email, or letter
- apply within 14 days of the last day of your isolation period
- be employed or self-employed
- have lost income as a result of having to stay at home
- be experiencing financial hardship
- get at least one of the qualifying benefits
